syslog errors

Any suggestions to what is causing the syslog to be flooded with the following message:

06/5 00:03:02 serv1 bootpd[4620]: client 192.32.4.15 requested unknown/unservable option.tag =

Many Thanks,

Re: syslog errors

Is that server a bootp server?
If not turn off & disable the bootp daemon.
That 192.xxx... client is trying to boot from the server & the server doesn't like it.

If it is you need to config it properly for that client - 192.32.4.15. Else the client is misconfigured..

Re: syslog errors

Hi,

I think that the cleint is trying to boot thro this server - I think that you have configured this server as bootp server.

If possible disable the bootp daemon or reconfigure the client. try pinging the client and check.
