/var/adm/cron/log

i mean, system is getting in both files:
-rw-r--r-- 2 root root 3782924 Aug 4 15:30 log
-rw-r--r-- 2 root root 3782924 Aug 4 15:30 OLDlog

Re: Syslog file

Hi Manuales:

The '/sbin/init.d/cron' script that runs during startup moves then current to 'OLDlog' and restarts the 'cron' daemon with an empty 'log'. You can use that to restart 'cron' and resume logging.

# /sbin/init.d/cron start

Regards!

Re: Syslog file

Shalom,

You should not have to do anything to get messages into the /var/adm/cron/log other than start the cron daemon as shown above. This is because that is the default location for the cron log.
