syslog
hello friends
on my system /var is full. then i search the for big (size) directory and file.it is found that /var/adm/syslog/history directory is big in size.it contains the files which is having .log extension.so can i emty it.

I have checked our systems running 11.11 & 11.23 and none of them have any direcotries under /var/adm/syslog
So I understand someone has copied some data and that's upto you if you want to remove it.. however it has no resemblance with system logs...

thanks mrudal i tthink u r correct.i never seen history directory under /var/adm/syslog. there may be the possibilty someone copies the log files under history.
