Hello,
I'm trying to get a better feel for what my users are doing on the system. To do this, I'd like to turn on system accounting.
I would like to know if you use system accounting. If so, is there a noticeable performance impact? I would appreciate any other comments you may have on the subject, since I haven't seen almost any mention of it in the forums. There are plenty of points to go around!
Jared

Hi,
I've never seen system accounting taking much system resources, not to say nearly none.
The only "annoying" thing about system accounting is that is comsumes "some" diskspace in /var.
regards,
Thierry.

All unix flavours are exactly the same . . . . . . . . . . for end users anyway.
