Re: system backup

SAM backup log is
/var/sam/log/br_log

check this file for info.

Re: system backup

Also you can check them using SAM

SAM--Backup --->Automated-->Actions--->View log files-->

This will point to
View Full backup--->/var/sam/log/br_index.full
History log-->/var/sam/log/br_log
Incremental log-->/var/sam/log/br_index.incr
recovery log--/var/sam/log/br_index.rec

Re: system backup

According to the log the last backup was finished at 24.Dec.2003 but we change the tape every day and the tape drive should backup the files every day based on the schedule.So how can I do next?

Re: system backup

did you check

SAM--Backup-->Automated backup-->options--View samlog

Do you mean to tell like the latest backup date is not getting logged.How about checking the log file manually.

Re: system backup

yeap.Because I just see the latest log is 24.Dec.2003,I am not sure the system backup the files from 25.Dec to 28.Dec or there is no log left though the backup finished based on the schedule.

Re: system backup

Was that a full backup?

Is the tape there with the files.
Do check the /var/sam/sam.log for any details

you can view the samlog file using samlog_viewer -f option
