System (C3600) is not booting after installing MirrorDisk/UX
trying to boot in single user mode get the same effect.
Console shows following:
ISL> hpux -is
Boot
: disk(10/0/15/1.6.0
11370496 + 1916928 + 1445600 start 0x1f608
That´s it - no error, no nothing
This Problem occured after installing Mirror/Disk
The Patch Bundle BaseGold ( 05.2005 ) was installed before.
Trying to boot with "hpux -i3" is the same result
Thanks for any hints in advance

Re: System (C3600) is not booting after installing MirrorDisk/UX
the error occured directly after the installation of MirrorDisk.
The installaton is changing the kernel and requires a reboot.
Then the system is "unbootable"
So - no mkboot or lvextend yet

Re: System (C3600) is not booting after installing MirrorDisk/UX
you can wait until you get hungry or fall into a deep sleep or the bill from the electricity supplier arrives :-)
So, it simply hangs

Re: System (C3600) is not booting after installing MirrorDisk/UX
It seems that something went wrong during the Mirror-UX installation process.
You can boot the system using old kernel
ISL > hpux /stand/vmunix.prev
Then go ahead boot the system and check the logs such as syslog, OLDsyslog, /etc/shutdownlog

Re: System (C3600) is not booting after installing MirrorDisk/UX
that´s it.
system is booting and I can look what went wrong.
The swinstall log I checked before booting.
That was fine.
I have a short look to syslog etc.
May be I go to bed then and write here tomorrow what the problem was.
It´s 1.30 at night here an I had a few "frustration beers" ( yes I am at home )
So I go to bed soon.
Thanks a lot
Until tomorrow
Juergen
