System Management Homepage - tools?

I have just loaded HP-SMH on a test server (HP-UX 11iV2, PA-RISC) for evaluation, and when I log in as root and go to the tools menu, all I can see is the IPMI event viewer and the Event Monitoring Service. According to the HP-SMH description, this is supposed to include fsweb, ugweb, etc. Am I missing something? Do I need to configure something?

Thanks in advance,
Steven

Did you follow installation steps here:

http://docs.hp.com/en/381372-004/index.html

Did you install the other products (or already had them installed?)

Apache, WBEM, Java...etc...

Re: System Management Homepage - tools?

To the best of my knowledge I followed the directions in the installation manual as closely as I could. I also checked to be sure all of the dependencies are met.

I looked at all of the files in the HP-SMH depot, and I could not find anything that looks like fsweb, ugweb, etc. Could these be plugins that have to be loaded separately (even though the documentation indicates they are included)?

Shalom Steven,

Nice name.

Even if apache is already installed, your first step is to secure a later, secure version. This release includes webmin, which provides some basic system management capabilities.

Then you start adding tools like the IPMI event viewer. EMS is probably already installed on your system.

Re: System Management Homepage - tools?

I think so...

According to this:

http://docs.hp.com/en/5991-2710/ch06s02.html

fsweb is included in the Dec 2005 HPUX 11iv2...

So, if you didn't install that release, then you need to install it.

The product bundle tag is FileSystems.

Where do I find it? I did a search on software.hp.com, and it only refers to the HP-SMH page...

You have to go to "software update manager"

and request the Media.

Okay - SMH is pretty cool...

Here's a screenshot of the fsweb part...

update-ux went smooth from the Sep2004 11iv2 to Dec 2005 11iv2.
