System monitoring and reporting tools
Please anyone recommand HPUX system monitoring and performance tools that I can consider buying... Well money is not an issue, kind of... We used Tivoli but we hated... Simple to manage and impressive performance reporting with "good visuals" for my bosses...
I guess my first option is OpenView but I am considering to review any product and suggest to my manager...
Thanks...

Re: System monitoring and reporting tools
Hi,
Yep your first option is HP OpenView. I would guide you to Performance Agent and GlancePlus which are part of the HP OpenView Portfolio:

Re: System monitoring and reporting tools
Shalom,
I think glance, linked above is a very good buy and of course its tuned for the OS.
You can go cheap and free and use sar scripts http://www.hpux.ws/system.perf.sh
No graphics but very good monitoring tools none the less. Because you want visuals glance/gpm/openview, whatever you wish to call it is the way to go.
