I have an nPar-ed rx8620(Integrity) running two n-partitions with 11iv2.
I want to assign nodenames to the partitions
with something like this..
There is a restriction on hostnames to a length of 8 characters, but
that used to be with 10.20 and previous versions.
Does this still hold?Don't we have the freedom to assign nodenames > 8 characters?
Can someone help me out?
Thanks
Swami

SolutionYou have the option of installing a new product which lifts the restictions formerly seen:

Be careful to read the caveats.

Re: system nodename length
From what I've read,Let me do some testing
after installing this product..I don't feel like taking the risk though.
