System reboots due NVM inconsistent

I trying to apply the solution recommended on Doc Id: KBRC00010630, regarding EISA problems.

I already boot in single user and delete /etc/eisa/system.sci file. The system already re-create this file but it's still rebooting at least three times.

I ran eisa_config and this displays the follow:

Slot CFG File Contents
0 !HWPC0E1 HP EISA System Board
1 !HWP1990 Hewlett-Packard EISA 100VG AnyLAN adapter card
2 ** EMPTY **
3 ** EMPTY **

Based on ioscan output, I assumed I need !HWP1990, but I don't know if I really need the other own the !HWPC0E1.

Here's the ioscan -fnC lan:

Class I H/W Path Driver S/W State H/W Type Description
===================================================================
lan 1 8/16/6 lan2 CLAIMED INTERFACE Built-in LAN
/dev/diag/lan1 /dev/ether1 /dev/lan1
lan 0 8/20/5/1 vglan0 CLAIMED INTERFACE EISA card HWP1990
/dev/diag/ether0 /dev/ether0
/dev/diag/lan0 /dev/lan0

What happend if I delete the !HWPC0E1 in slot 0 and I leave in slot 0 to the !HWP1990?

In fact I reboot againt the machine and I can see now just the SLOT 0 with the !HWPC0E1 and the slot 1 is lost!

What else am I need to do?

I hope somebody can help me.
