We have several T600 running Java applications that Multi-Thread through the processors. These systems have between 8-10 cpus, and are in no way overloaded.
However, due to the MT, we're concerned about dropping to fewer CPUs, etc., and are wondering what a plausible platform for this migration is.
L#000? or A-class (2-way, from what we read in literature).
Additionally, a couple are 10.20...
There is no upgrade path for the application or the OS for now.
Feedback?

Solution
If you are stuck on 10.20, then the best you can hope for is something like a D390 or K580. Those are the only machines still out there that will run 10.20. The L-series will definitely not and the A400 or A500 will not.
If the OS is not an issue, then the L-series (or rp54xx series) would be good. If 2 CPUs is the max you will need, then the A-series (rp24xx) may be good as well.

Re: T600 upgrade path? MP w/ Java
Thank you. Fortunately for us, we have several K5#0 cabinets on the floor. We were hoping not to use them (costly / year, but cheaper than T600).
