TAPE problem

Facts:
HP-UX 11.0
2 HP Dat drives DDS4

A few days ago our HP9000 that have two Tape drives , show that one tape
drive is now detected as a disk drive and the other one not.

If I look in SAM the machine stay "thinking" and no shows nothing.
If I do ioscan the tape drive is showed as a disk type.

I have rebooted the machine a few times and nothing hapen.

What can I do ??

check the scsi-id settings of the tapes against the other scsi devices on the bus

Before running up your OS, check the hard-ware Scsi addr. by executing the serach command "sea" from BCH Main Menu, then set the correct id switch for each devices.
