tar: [offset 0]: I/O error
Hi,
When trying to install JetDirect on a 10.20 system, we get the following error.
tar: [offset 0]: I/O error
This error once we got in the analysis phase. On trying a second time, it proceeded and installed some filesets (2 of 4) in the execution phase and then gave the same error.
Is this a common error, and what are its reasons. We're installin from tape and swlist output from the tape is fine.
Regards,
-Alvi

Re: tar: [offset 0]: I/O error
I suspect the (Some of the Filesets) software you have in Tape is corrupt. Why don't you try installing another copy as suggested by kapil.
You need to know a lot to actually know how little you know
