Re: TCOE
I believe that MTOE is simply a rename for TCOE.
Use it & see if it suffices.
Else, you'd probably have to "upgrade" - agaian probably at a cost.

Jeff

HP-UX 11i v1 Minimal Technical OE (MTOE) â Designed for workstations running HP-UX 11i v1, this OE includes the Mozilla Application Suite, Perl, Technical System Configuration (TechSysConf), and VERITAS Volume Manager (VxVM). This OE is bundled as HPUX11i-MTOE. For more details, see "HP-UX 11i v1 Minimal Technical Operating Environment" .

HP-UX 11i v1 Technical Computing OE (TCOE) â Designed for both compute-intensive workstation and server applications, this OE contains the MTOE bundles plus extensive graphics applications and Math Libraries. This OE is bundled as HPUX11i-TCOE. For more details, see "HP-UX 11i v1 Technical Computing Operating Environment" .

You'll have to ask your HP sales rep or other reseller if you can purchase the extra graphics applications and math libraries separately. I'm sure ProE is going to make extensive use of the math libraries, especially, so you probably can't run it satisfactorily, if at all, with just the MTOE.

Re: TCOE
IF you need the graphic & math library support then I suspect you'll need to pony up the upgrade $

Re: TCOE
I bought HP because is certified to run ProE, they recomended me C8000 with ATI Fire GX1 but packed MTOE in the box.
The PTC site says that is recomended TCOE Environment. ProE have problems to run with the MTOE i guess that the problem is the environmnet.
I will try to found the HP sales people to explain.
Thanks for your answers.
