TCP channel create failure

Hi All,

When i am logging to my HP-UX 11.23 server after putting loginid and password at the welcome screen i have received this error.

yp_all: TCP channel create failure: RPC: Program not registered.

Please tell me what is this error and how to rectify it.

Hi

--> is it NIS Server / client ?

--> check the rpc programms are running by

# rpcinfo -p

--> Install latest and greatest ARPA & XPORT cummulative patch.
