TCP Wrapper

Hi,

If I have tcp wrapper install in machine A, do I need to install tcp wrappers to all other machines that talks to machine A?

No. The tcp wrappers protect the host on which they are installed. They are very useful for protecting HP-UX ver 10, but are less value on version 11 (as many of the features are already built into the OS).

Hi,

We have it installed on our mail gateways, so no. It checks the validity of the remote server, but there's no requirement for it to be installed on the remote server.
