tcpdump and libpcap installed on an N class under 11.00 (64bit)
Was working fine.
Installed patches
Now will not run against any interfaces
error message
tcpdump: recv_ack: info unexpected primitive ack 0x0
There seem to be two other threads mentioning this but no conclusions in either.
Have tried a forced reinstall of both, with no progress. The box has fddi and ethernet cards, used to be able to use tcpdump on both, now not working on either.

Solution
certain apa patches would break older tcpdump binaries - the patches create boatloads of unused ppa's and tcpdump is not expecting a DL_INFO_ACK (?) so large.
if you get the latest libpcap and tcpudmp from www.tcpdump.org, and compile those, i think it may help
