Telnet and ftp version

Hello everyone,
I don't know how to get the version for telnet and ftp in hpux 11.00, something like "rpm -q telnet" in redhat.
Second thing, does anybody know a URL where to find out about hpux 11.00, I mean, deadlines for supporting it for example.
Any hint will be very appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Cristian.

Do the same for ftp.

Re: Telnet and ftp version

swlist -l product | grep -i ftp
swlist -l product | grep -i telnet

I know the ftp one will return results. I've never run the telnet one.

The standard ftpd server in HP-UX is wufptd. There is an update that deals with serious security flaws at http://software.hp.com

Re: Telnet and ftp version

HP doesn't have explicit version numbers for components like telnet. As far as I know, the closest equivalent you can do in HP-UX to make sure it's up-to-date, is perform "swlist -l fileset | grep telnet" to find out any patches that have been applied to the system that mention it in the description.

Sales and support matrix for the various HP-UX versions is at http://www.software.hp.com/RELEASES-MEDIA/history/slide2.html
