Re: Telnet problem .. Local flow control off ??

make sure your /var/adm/inetd.sec file allows telnet access to everyone.
if this is true
then check for errors in syslogs and console for ptys/strptys.
if you find them then increase the pty nos thru sam, this is a kernel parameter that can be increased to provide more telnet access.

Re: Telnet problem .. Local flow control off ??

Hi Richard,

The above posting may be correct because there may be more connections at the moment or it may be something as simple as a full filesystem.

I'm actually haven't the same problem on two of my machines. I haven't figured out the answer to the problem yet either. I can still rlogin but telnet doesn't work.

If you are running tcpwrapper, make sure you have an entry in the hosts.allow file for the host you are connecting from.

If I had only read the instructions first??
