telnet session grabbing resources

I have DTCs with dumb terminals connected to SERVERA and a few users need to log into an app on SERVERB. There is an account that's profile will telnet for them to the other system. Occasionally I have seen this account grabbing almost 100% of a cpu and has been running none stop for days. This account just telnets to another server so does any one know why it would grab so much resources. Typically it grabs very little and causes no problems.
