telnet session

Hello

our customer have an HP router 650 which is configured and i can open a telnet session . I will make a password for the telnet session but how ? have you some technical documentation about this router ?

Has the router manuals (Look under the section just above the 650 section where they have combined user manuals for all three series routers).

Apparently there are only two passwords on the thing. A Manager password which can make changes and a User password which can only monitor. You have to go into the NCL (which should be option 2 on the main menu) and type:
password

then it asks you what type and you say
M
or
U
and then it will ask you for a new password.
Put in the password and then repeat it when asked. I'm not sure how you save the config or if it needs it but it has to be reboot to take effect.
