Re: Telnet

Update your /etc/inetd.conf file by removing '#'' (hash) in front of the telnetd line, also check if there is additional restriction in /var/adm/inetd.sec file. Denying telnet permissions to some ip addresses. Restart inetd daemon with inetd. -c, after the update.

Re: Telnet

you can make sure the service is up and running properly by trying to telnet from the server console, to itself.

if that works, you can assume something external is stopping the PCs (firewall, DNS issues, etc etc)

Re: Telnet

HI Pedro!
Check this:

1) Check line

telnet

in /etc/inetd.conf file

2) Stop and start inetd daemon

# /sbin/init.d/inetd stop

# /sbin/init.d/inetd start

See you
