I have couple of telnetd errors this morning from 10:50 to 10:56 am, the error messages look like these in the syslog file:
Nov 6 10:50:46 ERP telnetd[25223]: getpid: peer died: Error 0
Nov 6 10:50:53 ERP telnetd[25224]: getpid: peer died: Error 0
Nov 6 10:51:10 ERP telnetd[25226]: getpid: peer died: Error 0
Nov 6 10:51:25 ERP telnetd[25292]: getpid: peer died: Error 0
Nov 6 10:51:38 ERP telnetd[25294]: getpid: peer died: Error 0
Could you please tell me what's wrong with the network? I tried to log into telnet session at that period of time, it didn't work.
Thanks a bunch
Leah

Re: telnetd error
your machine seems to need a bit of looking at:

Restart bootpd, but still would investigate network problem.
