My supervisor is asking at what temperatures are these levels defined and is there a type of thermostat within the server that measures these temperatures?

The Maximum Operating Range is:
5o C to 39o C
(41o F to 102o F)
But I'm not sure if at 102 it shuts down? I guess thats my assumption.

SolutionIn your case, I'm not sure if 102 is the magic number.
The manual I thought stated that its the internal temperature of the machine, which makes me believe the thermostat is within the chassis.
