Terminal Server on VLAN

I'm atttempting to implement several RDTCs ( terminal servers ) on a Wan with some segments using cisco IPSEC (VPN).

The terminal sessions seems to terminate after about 10 minutes with no error or warning ... just basically die .... a new login can be initiated after the user hits several times, but the original process is gone .

Is there possible a white paper that might help me solve this ???

Possible a paramater I'm missing ????

In advance thanks.

Hi John

Do the die on a working session or could it be an inactivity timeout.

Re: Terminal Server on VLAN

Users claim this happens on active sessions ... but I'm not sure of time between last bytes sent .

Re: Terminal Server on VLAN

Hi

A users perception of an active session is that they looked at!!!!

Whatever you do - never trust a user-- ;-)

I am afraid its sit with them and get them to prove it.

Meanwhile back at the ranch, I would guess that an inactivity time out is set either on network, telnet server or at the users desktop/terminal.

Have Fun
