Terminal too wide


When my terminal size is large I often get this error from my vi editor , is there a way to circumvent the problem, I want the terminal size to remain same while doing a vi. Can a parameter change fix this problem.

I don't think so. Do you have it > 256?

stty columns 160 - worked.
