terminal
When I login to the server as root once the CDE comes up and near about 4 -5 terminal windows are opening. Is ther a way I can stop this, like no dtterm opens until, I open a terminal from the Personal Application window.

Re: terminal
CDE tries to restore things as they were at your last login. In your case the answer is simple, exit the undesired terminal sessions and the [EXIT] CDE. When you log in again, things should be fine.
If it ain't broke, I can fix that.

Re: terminal
in addition to Clay's suggestion, in the setup window for CDE, there is the 'save as default desktop' option.

Re: terminal
Hi,
You can set CDE to either "Resume current session" (open windows that were open when you last logged out) or to "Return to Home session" (open only the windows you designate as your "home" session).
-Login using CDE
-Open the Style Manager (the icon is on the front panel and looks like a window with a mouse and artist's palette on top of it - it isn't easy for me to describe).
-Click on the Startup icon
-Choose the "At Login" option you desire
If you want the same windows opened every time you login to CDE, choose "Return to Home sessin". You should then close any unwanted windows and open the ones you want. Then select "Set Home Session".
