The spaceball don'tworks with hyperworks4.0
HI:
I have a problem, when I run hyperworks the spaceball only works a few seconds and then don-t works anymore, the OS is HPUX 11.0 and the application is Hyperworks 4.0 with UG 16.0. The machine at the spaceball is attached is a HP workstation J5000. I have anothers spaceballs runing in others machines as a HP J6000. If you could help me I'll be thank ful.
regards

Re: The spaceball don'tworks with hyperworks4.0
A CAD package such as UG in conjuction with your high end work-stations almost certainly has a required patch level and O/S build perhap http://support.ugs.com/ lists these or your documentation ?
I'd suspect an ACE 11:00 build + the graphics and technical computing bundle is required + a series of X related patches etc etc. Have you checked the patch levels on working and non-working systems ?
What about swapping the space ball out in case this is H/W related ?
Are you getting errors logged anywhere ? Is this a freeze
or a permanent hang ?
Qu : Is EMS installed and configured .... could diagnostics be running at the sametime as the hang or a similar process if not EMS ?
