Thread scheduling - CMA
Hi all,
I understand that with HP-UX 10.x, user level threads are supported. So there will be two levels of scheduling: first by the HP-UX scheduler and the next level by the thread scehduler.
We are using the libcma thread library. Is there any information/documentation available about the thread scheduling by CMA?
Thanks,
Prashanth

Re: Thread scheduling - CMA
Hi Prashanth,
All HPUX documentation and white papers are located at the following site:
http://www.docs.hp.com/
Just do a search on CMA or threads, there are too many documents to list.
CMA threads are obsoleted by 11i though, are you sure you want to be developing for an OS that won't have any support by June?
Regards,
James.

Re: Thread scheduling - CMA
Hi,
Thanks for Ur replies, but I did not find any detailed information. I only got a first level introduction to threads.
Since the application is already deployed on 10.20, we will continue using it. Do let me know if a detailed documentation - either online/books is available on CMA for 10.20
