Time zone information

Is there any comand in HPUX from which we can get timezone information.Similar one in sun is 'zdump'

How does zdump information look like?? What exactly you are looking for??

TZ environment variable in HP-UX stores the timezone.

Display TimeZone:
The command echo $TZ
IST-5:30

If you want to change it ,you can do it using the command,


#set_parms timezone

I guess zdump is also available in HPUX.

echo ${TZ}

will give that.

Timezone configuration is done through /etc/TIMEZONE file.

To adjust timezone use /usr/lib/tztab file.
