Timezone Change

Sorry, just being really paranoid here. Due to Commonwealth games, end of daylight savings has moved 1 week back to Sunday 2nd April 2006.

So.... I've updated /usr/lib/tztab from:

EST-10EDT
0 3 25-31 10 1971-1999 0 EDT-11
0 3 27 8 2000 0-6 EDT-11
0 3 25-31 10 2001-2038 0 EDT-11
0 1 27 2 1972 0-6 EST-10
0 1 1-7 3 1973-1985 0 EST-10
0 1 15-21 3 1986 0 EST-10
0 1 1-7 3 1987-1995 0 EST-10
0 2 25-31 3 1996-2038 0 EST-10

to:

EST-10EDT
0 3 25-31 10 1971-1999 0 EDT-11
0 3 27 8 2000 0-6 EDT-11
0 3 25-31 10 2001-2038 0 EDT-11
0 1 27 2 1972 0-6 EST-10
0 1 1-7 3 1973-1985 0 EST-10
0 1 15-21 3 1986 0 EST-10
0 1 1-7 3 1987-1995 0 EST-10
0 2 25-31 3 1996-2005 0 EST-10
0 2 2 4 2006 0 EST-10
0 2 25-31 3 2007-2038 0 EST-10

Nothing sticks out as a problem?

Thanks,
Damien.

Re: Timezone Change

Not quite. Either the day of the month or the day of the week MUST be a range and the other MUST be a simple integer. While it is not specified in the man, I have also found that the day of month range must be 7 days in order for the tztab to behave correctly.

0 2 2 4 2006 0 EST-10
should be:
0 2 1-7 4 2006 0 EST-10

If it ain't broke, I can fix that.

Re: Timezone Change

Arr, I see. All the other entries do contain at least one range.

Thanks for the tip.
