Re: Timzone id
Hi,
If you want to change the time zone on the unix server use the command
/sbin/set_parms timezone
this will display the current time zone and you can change then to whatever you like. Take care you'll have to reboot after that.
Cheers
Rajeev

Re: Timzone id
The set_parms program simply sets the /etc/TIMEZONE file that is executed when a user logs in, and it simply sets the environment variable TZ. This does not change the way HP-UX keeps time (which is always GMT or Zulu time), but changes the way that system calls report the time. In this manner, any user can view the time using any timezone (which is ideal for remote logins or international web pages).
To see what timezones are available, look at the file: /usr/lib/tztab and also the man page for tztab. For your Oracle code, just export TZ with the desired timezone and start Oracle.
