Re: TNS error and HPUX Error 32

Hi,

I encountered this error when my server ran out of memory and swap. The listener died and this messages are logged in the listener log. Was any of your system resources depleted at the point in time the listener died?

For further troubleshooting, you may wish to enable listener trace. However, do bear in mind that listener trace files can consume a lot of disk space especially on a production server.

Hope this helps. Regards.

Hi there.
Check your memory usage with the ipcs or glance. Your SGA may be a wee bit to large,
so that users cannot ( like oracle with the listener ) take more space.
