I am unable to figure out this, please help:

hpux120> /usr/app/oracle/admin # du -sk abbprd

Also:
xmsprd1 /usr/app/oracle/admin/abbprd # du -sk

Why do you say that? There are three states for space on the disk but only two commands, unless you include lsof. You would have to add all three to make the numbers add up.
Your du(1) outputs show using -x gives less, this is correct, you should always use -x to prevent crossing filesystem mount points. Your two bdf(1) outputs show the different filesystems.
