Hey folks,
I've got a rp2430 server installed with a PCI TR card. It is found that the TR interface could not be ping after each reboot. lanadmin reset and SAM enable are required to resume the connectivity.
May someone tell me how can I get around the problem?
Thanks,
Timmy Sin

Re: Token ring unreachable after reboot on rp2430 (A400)
First
I would like agree with the patching advise given by Michael
further I would to advise trying to find out why if the card is not working after reboot even with lastest patching installed :
- run lanadmin on the system if it doesn't function and check the speed setting and the HW and SW state they should both be up
- look in the rc.log file for any startup problems that might hang the card at boot ,
- last but not least look in the /var/adm/nettl.LOG00 file (format it with netfmt -N -l -f nettl.LOG00 > filename)
for any error messages from the lancard at boot time
that might get us further in the problem analysis
