Transient Parse errors-Sendmail

We're running Sendmail 8.11 on 11.11, and the machine is a caching-only dns server. We continuously get Transient Parse errors from sendmail scrolling to the console and root win. I know how to turn off the scrolling, but how to I stop the error? None of the old messages helped--wrong versions

transient parse errors generally point to name server issues - narrow it down by seeing if the problem is peculiar to particular domains (problem with a remote name server) or all domains (problem with your name server).

Also ensure that your /etc/nsswitch.conf is properly configured. This will screw up sendmail pretty quickly.
