Just so you understand fully HP-UX 11.00, which is near the end of its support life cycle only runs on HP-9000 servers and workstations with PA-RISC chips.

You can't install it onto a PC to try it out. The Compaq HP merger came about from talks to port HP-UX to Intel 32 bit, but that little idea never got done.

HP-UX does come with the hardware, a basic version can be had for around $200 with new or refurbrished hardware. Its not a very expensive decision to try it out. The hardware can be kind of pricey but workstations can be had for a modest price as well.

i have never ever been heard trial version
hp-ux or other types of UNIX but some vendors sometimes announce "DEMO" version
with restricted properties as original.
