trouble with file on hprc.external.hp.com
Regardless of how I download, I get the following error when i do the uncompress:
uncompress: corrupt input
I can uncompress/untar the 64-bit version without a problem, but given the dire warnings in the readme file (about running 64-bit programs on a 32-bit machine) I'm not at all eager to proceed :-)
It would be ever so lovely, if someone could rebuild the 32-bit package and repost it.
thanks!

Re: trouble with file on hprc.external.hp.com
1) Make sure UNIX95 variable is not set in the session you are uncompressing in. That can cause this problem.
2) This is not the place to report problems with downloads for that site. There is a link on the web interface that connects you to the ftp server that permits reports to webmaster that are always looked at next business day.

Re: trouble with file on hprc.external.hp.com
this is an ftp site and so i wouldn't expect there to be a *web*master. if there's a way to notify someone at the rc about this please let me know and i'll take care of the rest.

Re: trouble with file on hprc.external.hp.com
found was the same one as you found, I got
similar results: good "64", corrupt "32".
Many HP Web pages offer a "contact hp" link.

Re: trouble with file on hprc.external.hp.com
Why would you have a 32 bit machine? They haven't made those in a long time.
Does the size of the file on your HP-UX machine match the size on the ftp site? Also any checksums to compare?
