Trouble with loging in as user

Hi, collegyes,

I can not login as user - in syslog.log I see message
open_module: stat(/usr/lib/security/hpux64/libpam_hpsec.so.1) failed: Permission denied

Week ago it seems everything was ok. This file is there. What's wrong?

and when I try to login vi su - it says no shell, but shell is correct in passwd and its executable is ok

Check the permissions on the root / , /etc and the /etc/passwd file.

Is the file executable and every path element readable and executable?

Fixed - /usr/bin and /usr/lib had mode 700
