Re: Troubleshooting in LVM
Do you have access to the knowledge trees under the ITRC? There is a section under HPUX called the Software Recovery Handbook, and one of the sections of that involves LVM.
Hope it helps

Re: Troubleshooting in LVM
Google/search this forums or the Internet for keywords "LVM, LVM Howto, LVM Guide, LVM Tutorial, etc).
Many sites offer various levels (and languages?) of LVM basics and troubleshooting..
Favourite Toy:
AMD Athlon II X6 1090T 6-core, 16GB RAM, 12TB ZFS RAIDZ-2 Storage. Linux Centos 5.6 running KVM Hypervisor. Virtual Machines: Ubuntu, Mint, Solaris 10, Windows 7 Professional, Windows XP Pro, Windows Server 2008R2, DOS 6.22, OpenFiler

Re: Troubleshooting in LVM
The best way to troubleshoot any problem with LVM is to understand LVM functionality by referring man pages of its commands starting with # man lvm and commands mentioned therein.
Try to understand the the outputs of various command like vgdisplay, lvdisplay, pvdisplay etc.
Going through following docs which deals with LVM disk issues is good way to go as well.
