Is the "Unknown id" message really mean "bad password?" I was using the old (untrusted) password and was expecting it to say the password was expired. But it seems to say that the user I am logged in as does not exist, except it does. Any idea what's going on?
I successfully un-trusted the system and could log in with the old password

Re: Trusted System Unknown id:
The nsswitch.conf had passwd set to compat, which is what the old system had. Who knew!
And why did HP include some hints like that in the setup guide.
Thanks so much.
