Re: Trusted system
You can use shadow password for securing passwd file.
This product requires HP-UX 11.11.
you try this link,
http://h20293.www2.hp.com/portal/swdepot/displayInstallInfo.do?productNumber=ShadowPassword
Hope this helps.

Re: Trusted system
thru sam->Auditing and Securit->System Security Policies, u can convert ur system to trusted system.
it will ask ur conformation saying that:
You need to convert to a Trusted System before proceeding. The ├в ├в
├в ├в conversion process does the following things: ├в ├в
├в C├в ├в ├в
├в ├в 1. Creates a protected database on the system for storing security ├в ├в
├в ├в information. ├в ├в
├в ├в 2. Moves user passwords in "/etc/passwd" to this database. ├в ├в
├в ├в 3. Replaces all password fields in "/etc/passwd" with "*". ├в ├в
├в ├в ├в ├в
├в ├в A Trusted System can be easily changed back to a standard HP-UX ├в ├в
├в ├в system by using the Actions menu in any of the SAM Auditing subareas. ├в ├в
├в ├в ├в ├в
├в ├в WARNING: On a system with a large password file, converting could ├в ├в
├в ├в ├в ├в take as long as 10 - 15 minutes. ├в ├в ├в ├в
├в [├в ├в ├в
├в ├в ├в ├в Do you want to convert to a Trusted System now?
yes? or no?
and it will convert ur system to trusted system.
if the above lines format is not clear, see the attachment.
