Trusted systems and root

When I convert to a trusted system and apply password experation, etc... does it apply to root. If so is there any way to have it not apply

Re: Trusted systems and root

Hi,
It used to be by default disabled, if you choose passwd aging you can alway modify root's security policies and disable it...

All the best

Re: Trusted systems and root

Just as an F.Y.I. This caught me hard when I converted to trusted systems. If any of your password are above 8 characters when you convert the system will truncate your passwords to 8 characters. You'll go crazy trying to log in as root and it just will not let you. Well it's because it chopped off the remainder characters. That goes for untrusting a system too.
When a sys-admin say's maybe, they don't mean 'yes'!
