Re: Trying to mk_kernel, error's Unsatisfied symbol
Would we be better to do a Cold-Install of 11iv1. Just overwrite the / rootvg.
All the apps & data are on seperate raid arrays, and not in the root vg.

Re: Trying to mk_kernel, error's Unsatisfied symbol
Try this link,
http://www1.itrc.hp.com/service/cki/docDisplay.do?docLocale=en_US&docId=200000080059798
The itrc doc id is 3200103041.
suggests reinstallation of these patches,
PHKL_22589
PHKL_23183
PHKL_23127

Also this is another suggested doc,
http://www1.itrc.hp.com/service/cki/search.do?category=c0&prevQueryString=mlock_valid_args+prf_klog_getcount&mode=id&searchString=3100586797&searchCrit=allwords&docType=Security&docType=Patch&docType=EngineerNotes&docType=BugReports&docType=Hardware&docType=ReferenceMaterials&docType=ThirdParty&dateRange=all&search.x=29&search.y=11

Re: Trying to mk_kernel, error's Unsatisfied symbol
mk_kernel still fails with same Unsatisified symbols.
Tried to force with "swinstall -x reinstall=true". It still didn't reinstall everything.

Re: Trying to mk_kernel, error's Unsatisfied symbol
Open a Case with HP support, they can help you fix this issue, i do not think this can be fixed that easily in the forum.
Hope this helps.

Re: Trying to mk_kernel, error's Unsatisfied symbol
See http://archives.neohapsis.com/archives/hp/2001-q2/0011.html
The section on pulling the objects from the librarys and finding what patch updated them. I then go and pull the specific patch and apply.
Getting there very slowly.
Sorry - would have called HP but we have a H/W only support contract.
