Type of Keyboard

Hi all

Atfer installation of HP-UX 10.20 or 11.00 [ in any machine like 715/50, 725, 715/100 or C class machines. ]

How can know the type of key board. That is what kind of key board i am using.

Help Please

Your keyboard is either HIL or PS2. The newer C class should be using PS2, the older 715 models HIL.

PS2 is a round connecter where the keyboard plugs in, HIL is a flat type connecter with 2 prongs either side (which push in when inserting it to stop it coming back out).
Im from Palmerston North, New Zealand, but somehow ended up in London...

/etc/kbdlang shows you which kind of keybord language you are using.

will give you the part# of the keyboards available for your workstation. Are you having a problem with one of them?
