Please can someone help.

I am running HP-UX 11.x with a Reflections terminal session using vt100 as a terminal emulator.

When I trpe the shift-3 key I get # when I want the UK currency symbol ?.

How can I get this to work.

I'm not familiar with your setup could you lead me thu it so i can try and reproduce it ? A noddy guide would be good.

However have you looked at ReflectionsX's settings -> Keyboard -> menus ?

allow client to remap keyboard ?

keyboard map ? Is it UK ?

cutomise keyboard ?

have a play you maybe able to easily fix it using the above ?

Re: UK Keyboard currency symbol

Thanks for the reply.

The reflections terminal setup is vt100 with DEC charachter set emulation - I have messed with these settings and am getting the same result.

I have also tried other terminal emulators and other makes of PC and am still getting the same result.

I have tried to cange the LANG variable again no result.

Re: UK Keyboard currency symbol

Hi John,

If I remember well when I was using real vt100 (that's a while ago...) the terminal setup had a specific entry for the # versus ? mapping.

Don't you have the same with your emulation?
As I'm not using Reflection here (and use a Belgian/french keyboard) I cannot check locally.

Best regards,

Dan

Re: UK Keyboard currency symbol

anything in reflections logs ?

Perhaps a font server needs to be made available to RX ?
Also try setting locale to iso ... something any difference ?

May also be woth checking at wrq.com tech support page to see if this is possible with your term type/settings ?
