Unable to compile libxrender in HPUX 11.11

We are planning to implement to libX11-X11R7.2-1.1. on a HPUX 11.11 server. I am currently in the process of compiling xproto-7.0.10 which is a prerequisite for implementing libX11-X11R7.2-1.1.1. When I try to configure xproto-7.0.10, we get following error:



“configure: error: Could not determine how to access the fds_bits or equivalent structure in fd_set on your platform.”



Have you ever seen this error before? Any ideas to help identify the error or resolve this issue would be greatly appreciated.
