Unable to connect machine (HP-UX 11.31) from X-manager.

Hi all,

I am unable to connect my hp machine from X-manager.

# ps -eaf |grep -i dtlogin
root 1735 1709 0 13:56:08 ? 0:00 /usr/dt/bin/dtlogin
root 6101 6075 0 16:15:22 pts/ta 0:00 grep -i dtlogin
#

Anybody idea for this

Hi,

keep X-manager active, but use putty
(http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/putty/download.html)

to connect from your pc enabling X11 forwading (connection/ssh/tunnel).

Hey

If you want connect to CDE Env you have to install it. on 11.31 the English CDE Environment isn't installed by default.

# swlist |grep CDE
CDE-English B.11.31 English CDE Environment

Can you post any error msg?

I am not getting any error msg. and dtlogin is running. Which error you are asking for, or tell me what command should I run to get error msg.
When I start X-manager only blank screen is comming.

On another non-X session to the server, can you try to export your DISPLAY to that host and run xclock?
