I am unable to extend var and usr. Via sam it says I must unmount the
filesystem. I have verified that all filesets are configured.
When I try extending it via the command line I am told that Advanced VXFS needs
to be installed
Output of fsadm command
# /usr/lbin/fs/vxfs/fsadm -b 1536000 /var
/usr/lbin/fs/vxfs/fsadm: the -b option requires "HP OnLineJFS (Advanced Vxfs)"
Where do I go from here.
1. The package is installed
2. The package is configured
3. VXFS patches are installed.
Thanks for the help

Re: Unable to extend /var
I found the problem. I installed Advanced JFS after installing PHKL_18543. When this is done PHKL_18543 needs to be reinstalled. A partial install on PHKL_18543 is done which adds vxadv into the kernel.

swlist -l fileset -a state|pg
anything not listed as configured (as i expect that patch would of shown up as something other then configured) might be a problem

Had the same problem, both with

It also happens when I Ignite a system.
