Unable to login after 32-64 bit conversion
I have been attempting to convert the O/S from 32 bit to 64 bit and have encountered a few problems. I beleive I have the answer to these however since rebooting the box I am unable to login. I don't even get prompted for a passwd. I have booted the box to single user mode and checked the syslog and I get the following error messages.
load modules: can not open module
/usr/lib/security/libunix.1
pam_sm_acct_mgmt()missing
The file lib.unix.1 exists with 666 permissions
Any ideas why I can't login
Thanks in advance

Re: Unable to login after 32-64 bit conversion
Thanks for your help with this:-
Unable to see if patch is loaded as when I run swlist I get error message - hostname unknown returned. Checked swagentd.log and it reports - Failure registering remote procedure call server using protocol sequence ncacn_ip_tcp with endpoint 2121
Also I checked the document you suggested and that is pretty much what I did to convert to 64 bit. However, I still havn't managed to convert yet.
Don't forget that I'm still at single user level
Thx
